 Blepharoplasty- As we age the eyelids may become droopy which can lead to a worn and tired appearance. A blepharoplasty can help by removing excess fat, skin and muscle giving a more refreshed look.
Brow Lift-When patents come to me for a blepharoplasty they will typically complain of heaviness of their upper eyelids. I need to evaluate the cause of this upper eyelid hooding. It may be caused by extra skin of the upper eyelid or a drooping eyebrow both of which occurs during the aging process. More times then not it is caused by a combination of the two.
Make up can help camouflague the lowering eyebrow. Simple penciling the upper eyebrow and and reshaping it can give the illusion of an open eye.
For patients that have mild hooding of the upper eyebrow, Botox can help lift the outer(lateral) eyebrow. By injecting the muscle below the outer eyebrow the muscle is weakened which leads to more pulling of the eyebrow in an upward direction. This will reshape the eyebrow.
For moderate to severe eyebrow drooping a brow lift is offered. An incision can be placed at the hairline or just in back of it. The eyebrow is then repositioned. After the eyebrow is repositioned the amount of extra skin in the upper eyelid is then evaluated. Any excess can then be removed.
Botox-is a purified protein that helps diminish contraction of the muscle. it works great in areas that tend to wrinkle because of the underlying muscle. These areas include the glabella(the so called 11 lines inbetween the eyebrow), the crows feet and the wrinkles on the forehead. Botox willrelax the creases in this area resulting in a smoother younger appearance.
Ear Lobe Repair-Having a short ear lobe, wearing heavy eorrings or having an earring that has been pulled increases the risk of a torn ear lobe. The ear lobe is repaired under a local anesthetic. If the earring hole is enlarged but not pulled through all the way this can be repaired as well as patients complain that the two earrings rest at different levels.
Face & Neck Lift-As we age most of us develop skin laxity in the jowls and neck. A facelift will tighten the loose skin in the jowls, neck and jaw line. The incision is made in the natural crease of our facial skin.
Mini facelift-or the so called lunch time face lift will have a smaller scar that does not extend as high up the temple skin or around the back of the ear down the neck hair line. There is a limited dissection of skin then the SMAS layer is sutured to help tighten tissue laxity. Liposuction of the neck may be performed simultaneously if the patient has a fatty neck. This will help give better jaw line defination. This facelift has many different names such as the s-lift, weekend face lift, lifestyle lift
MACS Face Lift- Incisions are smaller. Sutures are placed under the skin which pull the SMAS layer in a upward vector rather than the traditional back vector which can sometimes give the "windswept look"
Full Facelift- Incisions start in the natural face crease in front of the ear hen extend into the hairline and around back behind the ear. The incision will extend into the hair line on the neck. This is a wider dissection but needed for those patients that have significant laxity of the skin in the lower third of the face.
Platysmaplasty-Incisions are made under the chin. The two platysma muscles are sutured together to get rid of the so called turkey gobble.
Injectable Fillers-Help restore volume in ares of the face that have become depleted with tissue such as the nasolabial and marionette lines.
We use injectable products such as Radiesse, Juvederm and Evolence to help restore that youthful look.

Cheek bones to give a higher, fuller appearing cheek bone.

As the saying goes "parentheses have a place but not on your face".
Higher Cheek Bones-Want those higher cheek bones. Make-up can help. A darker color is swept below the cheek bone to give the illusion of hollowness. A medium color is swept directly on the cheekbone and a lighter color is used above the cheekbone, to highlight the cheek.
If make-up didn't do the trick then patients are offered a cheek implant to give fullness to the cheek. If surgery isn't for you then consider an injectable filler.
With the advancements of injectable fillers we now can give a fuller cheek without the need for surgery. Injectable fillers can be used to plump up the cheek and the procedure takes
just minutes. The results will last about a year depending on what filler is used.
 Lip Augmentation- A youthful lip is full and pouty, this is thought to be more sensual. Lip augmentation can e performed using injectable fillers to increase the size of the lips. Surgery can also be performed where by incisions are made in the inner lip and tissue is rotated out giving the lip a fuller appearance.

Microdermabrasion- by using micro-crystals that are vacuumed through a machine the skin is superficially exfoliated which results in a polished look.
Otoplasty-This procedure will help those patients whose ears appear to stick out. Sutures are placed in the back of the ear to pin back the ear giving a softer appearance to the ear.
Photo Rejuvenation-Is a safe way to get rid of large pores, red complexion and brown spots. Intense pulsed light rejuvenate the skin in a non-ablative fashion by delivering pulses of light to the skin. There is little downtime and the result is healthier, younger looking skin.
Rhinoplasty-Sometimes a patient may feel that their nose is too big, crooked or hanging. A rhinoplasty can help with these problems. Usually the nose is broken down to three levels. The upper nose, also known as the nasal bridge is made up of bone. Work is done at this level if there is a bump or if the nose is too wide. The bump can be removed and the nose can be made thinner by doing osteotomies. If the bump is large then usually the nasal bones will need to be reset because a space may develop in between the two bones as the bump is removed.
The middle of the nose is made up of cartilage, it is referred to as the upper lateral cartilages. Cartilage will have to be removed if there is a bump in this section of the nose. If the nose is crooked then the cartilage can be made straight or extra cartilage can be placed to help camouflage the crookedness of the nose. A good history and internal examination will reveal if there are any obstructions in the nasal passages. These obstructions can be fixed at the same time as the rhinoplasty.
The lower portion of the nose, the nasal tip, is also referred to as the lower lateral cartilages is made up of cartilage. The tip can be made smaller by removing cartilage and suturing the tip so that is is narrower. If the nasal base is wide then it can be thinned by making the nostrils smaller, skin is removed between the lip and nose. The scars usually look good providing they are placed in the right spot. The nasal tip can also be built up if need be, with cartilage, if it does not have enough projection.
