With time our facial tissues sag due to the affects of gravity and aging. A face lift will help improve the affects of aging. Most patients prefer not to have the scars associated with the traditional facelift or the lengthy recovery. A MACS face lift, otherwise known as a minimal access cranial suspension facelift differs from a traditional facelift.
The benefits of a MACS facelift
Shorter incision which extends from hair line down the front of the ear. The scar behind the ear is avoided.
The facial tissues are pulled upward rather than backward which helps prevent the wind swept look.
There is less undermining of the skin which will decrease chance of healing problems.
Who is a candidate?
Mild to moderate amount of sagging facial skin, generally 40-65 years old
Procedure
An incision is made in front of the ear which will extend upward towards the hairline.
